Soprano Rachele Barchi is emerging as one of the most promising talents of her generation in Italy.
Born in April 1997 in Narni, Italy, Rachele Barchi studied voice at the Giulio Briccialdi Conservatory in Terni under the guidance of mezzo-soprano Ambra Vespasiani. Her solo debut took place in July 2017, performing Beethoven’s Choral Fantasy at the Orvieto Cathedral. As a solo soprano, she has participated in concerts for various Italian musical associations and performed at international festivals, including the Festival Puccini in Torre del Lago. Her first international tour with the InCanto Foundation took her to Nicaragua, presenting concerts in Rivas, Estelì, and Matagalpa.
On the opera stage, alongside her concert work, she has taken on roles such as Mimì in Giacomo Puccini’s La Bohème at the Teatro dei Ginnasi in Rome, Adina in L’elisir d’amore by Gaetano Donizetti at the Teatro dell’Opera in Tunis, and Colombina in Le Maschere”by Pietro Mascagni at the Teatro Goldoni in Livorno.
Rachele Barchi is the recipient of the award for the best interpretation of a work by Rossini at the San Colombano 2021 International Opera Competition in Piacenza. She has perfected her skills through masterclasses and specialization courses with notable figures in the industry, including Clara Scarangella, Claudia Toti Lombardozzi, Giuseppe Naviglio, Anna Pirozzi, Renata Scotto, Marco Boemi, Giovanna Lomazzi, and Carlo Colombara.
In 2021, she participated in the prestigious Academy of the Puccini Festival Torre del Lago, studying under soprano Clarry Bartha, Massimo Iannone, and the iconic Italian soprano Renata Scotto.
